9. AI Detection Accuracy Disclaimer

9.1 Nature of AI Detection

AI detection technology is an evolving field, and no AI detection tool, including AI Detector, can guarantee 100% accuracy. Our detection tools provide probability-based assessments that indicate the likelihood that content was generated by an AI system.

9.2 Limitations

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Probability Scores, Not Definitive Proof: Our detection results provide probability scores and assessments, not definitive proof of AI authorship. A high AI probability score does not conclusively prove that content was AI-generated, and a low score does not conclusively prove that content was human-written.

  • Variable Accuracy: Detection accuracy may vary based on numerous factors, including but not limited to the length of the content, the language of the content, the specific AI model used to generate the content, the degree of human editing applied to AI-generated content, the content type and subject matter, and the specific detection tool used.

  • False Positives and False Negatives: Our detection tools may produce false positives (incorrectly identifying human-written content as AI-generated) and false negatives (failing to detect AI-generated content). These errors are inherent in the current state of AI detection technology.

  • Evolving AI Models: As AI language models continue to evolve and improve, the effectiveness of detection tools may change. Content generated by newer or more advanced AI models may be more difficult to detect.

  • Not a Substitute for Human Judgment: Our detection results should be used as one factor in your evaluation of content and should not be the sole basis for consequential decisions, including academic disciplinary actions, employment decisions, content rejection, or legal proceedings.

9.3 No Guarantee

We make no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of our detection results. You use our detection tools at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for the decisions you make based on our results.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

10.1 "As Is" and "As Available" Basis

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AI DETECTOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • WARRANTIES THAT THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR COMPLETE.
  • WARRANTIES THAT ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.

10.2 Third-Party Services

We make no warranties or representations about the quality, reliability, or availability of any third-party services, products, or content that may be accessed through or integrated with our Service, including but not limited to payment processing services, analytics services, and advertising networks.

10.3 No Professional Advice

  • ANY OTHER DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY WHETHER THE DAMAGES ARE BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT AI DETECTOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

11.2 Cap on Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO AI DETECTOR IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

11.3 Essential Basis

THE LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION ARE FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENTS OF THE BASIS OF THE BARGAIN BETWEEN AI DETECTOR AND YOU. THE SERVICE WOULD NOT BE PROVIDED WITHOUT SUCH LIMITATIONS.

11.4 Jurisdictional Limitations

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

12. Indemnification

12.1 Your Indemnification Obligations

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AI Detector, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, and assigns (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties") from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, proceedings, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs) arising out of or relating to:

14. Content Ownership and Responsibility

14.1 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all Content you submit to AI Detector for detection or humanization analysis. We do not claim any ownership rights over your Content.

  • Your Content does not contain any material that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

14.2 Content Processing

As described in our Privacy Policy, we process your Content solely for the purpose of providing detection or humanization results. We do not store, retain, or use your Content for any other purpose. Your Content is deleted immediately after analysis is complete.
